Sandra Ugochi Igwe launched SNDR Mode in 2019 with a clear proposition: coutureinformed, sustainable design for women who want clothes that move and mean something. Trained across pattern cutting and garment construction, Sandra developed a studio practice that fuses precise structure—lantern sleeves, controlled peplums, and handcovered buttons—with fluid layers in satin, tulle, and crisp cotton shirting. Her collections favour intelligent colour (amethyst, cobalt, scarlet) and storyrich prints, from porcelainblue botanicals to considered monograms.
Believing sustainability starts with making less and making better, Sandra works in small batches and offers madetoorder to ensure the right garment reaches the right wardrobe. She partners with local specialists for sampling and finishing, invests in longwear materials, and builds patterns for efficient cutting to minimise waste. Each piece is designed to style multiple ways—statement tops with wideleg trousers; tunic dresses layered over pants; kaftan sets that shift from resort to evening—expanding the lifespan of a wardrobe.
